Suzanne Carson has been a professional artist working primarily in portraiture and landscape. She received her BFA at UCLA and continued her studies at the California College of Arts and Crafts in CA and the Art Students' League in NY. She has been an art teacher for many years but is not currently taking students.

As a portrait artist Carson worked around the world from Hawaii to Europe to a cruise ship in the Caribbean. Later she began working in pastel and oil landscapes and genre painting, spending 10 years as a juried member of the Laguna Festival of Arts where one of her paintings was selected to be reproduced onstage at the Pageant of the Masters.

Suzanne has spent many years now in the Pacific Northwest, where she continues to work in pastel and oil, and occassionally watercolor, acryilic and sculpture, while teaching in the public school. She continues to work through juried shows, where she has won many awards. She loves the exploration and discovery of the creative process. Suzanne may be contacted for commissioned work and paintings.
